I even find them to have a slight doughnut taste. I think a little vanilla glace icing will be delicious on them.
Fried Yeast Bread
Prep time: 30 minutes
Cook time: 15 minutes
Total time: 45 minutes

Ingredients
3 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp sugar
3 1/2 tsp yeast
1 1/2 tbsp butter or oil
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 cup water, warm
2 cups oil, for frying
Procedure
- Combine yeast, sugar, warm water in large bowl. Let sit for 5 minutes
- Add other ingredients except 2 cups oil.
- Knead into a smooth pliable dough. If it is too firm add a little water.
- Leave dough in bowl. Cover with damp clean towel.
- Allow to stand for 20- 30 minutes until doubled in size.
- Portion into golf ball sized pieces. Heat oil in frying pan.
- Roll dough into 1/8-1/4 inch thickness.
- Fry in oil. When it puffs up, turn and fry on other side. Remove and drain an paper towel.
